Hoveton & Wroxham

A pleasant 5.8 mile circular walk, one of the many in the Broads region, and partially along the old Bure Valley Railway line

The walk begins near the Hoveton and Wroxham station at the old signal box, now a small museum

Along the railway, there are some examples of interesting plants next to the tracks

Another example of the type of foliage seen on the railway

After leaving the railway, hikers will need to cross a field containing a herd of bovines, which took an interest in us

For anyone who was not sure what a 'loke' was, here is an example of one along the trail of this walk

The second half of the walk is mostly in the countryside, passing through farmers fields and meadows

Some of the views are very beautiful, the area and waterways are well-maintained and attract many tourists

The walk is a circular route - towards the end are a few more meadows to cross back to the station

As you are walking along the railway, the train is bound to pass you at some point, and is a sight to behold

The walk is located just at the edge of the broads, along the way you pass a popular mooring point for longboats
